What a dimwit

So I have this assignment in my Dance 1010 class to research a repressed dance form. So my group and I chose Belly Dancing. I lucked out and had a chance to go see a live performance this weekend at the 9th and 9th Street fair downtown. Oh, how joyed I was with myself. I was right on top of this assignment. I made my friend Lacey go with me and tend Connelly as I took pictures and "video" tapped the dancing. In my class I have to do a presentation on the dance form and the pictures and video would really help out the presentation's overall feel. Well as I was up in the computer room today what did I learn? Oh that I'm a dimwit, a dope, a dunce, yes I did NOT record the dance. I had my camera on the recording mode, but I failed to push that tiny little button called, "RECORD". You know the button that tells the camera to record the images that it is seeing. So I was there on 9th and 9th acting like I was documenting the dancers, however I was just mocking them. Pretending to like them, acting like I was professional. When in reality I was being a twit. All these words that I have used as an adjective I found in the thesaurus under "IDIOT". So now I have to tell my group that instead of pretty much doing the whole project for them, I didn't. And now I don't know when we will have a chance to see the live belly dancing performance again.

I am so sorry that happened. It's hard enough to arrange everything once, let alone twice. Your not the only one that does stuff like that I read an article on a guy that had to go back and interview a celeb. because he didn't put a tape in his little tape recorder the first go around!

Sun Valley, Idaho 2021

We stayed at a cute log cabin by the path that goes from Sun Valley to Hailey. There was a huge open field where we were able to throw the ball and play with the dogs in the snow. We ate lunches out and cooked the other meals in the cabin.  Connelly got  the French dip, Nate got the Pastrami, Kate got Macaroni salad and I got the Acai bowl! This was our fourth year going to SunValley.  We love to shop at the  thrift store, Gold Mine.  We found a lamp, board games, Sorrel snow boots for kate, beanies, and Corral plates for the kitchen!! GOLD MINE! Connelly went to Bald Mountain for the first time.  He was able to ski just as fast if not as fast as me.  The ski runs there are so long.  I never took the kids because they are  so long and I thought they wouldn't last two runs.  Connelly and I did 5 runs!!  It was so fun.  Then we got the souvenir pins for Dolla...

Connelly 3 years old

I haven't blogged or done a cute updated pix of Connelly since his March birthday when he turned three. He is so fun. I have no energy because I'm pregnant but he has a ton of it. He loves to ride his bike and play with his friends from sun up to sun down. He believes he is pregnant too and he has a "baby Kate" in his belly like I do. We are looking forward to Oct. 13th as much as ever in this horrid heat. I hate being pregnant in the summer. I love summer, I love being in a bathing suit, and this summer isn't what I love because I don't look good in a bathing suit and I hate the heat.

Silver Lake

Connelly was able to have a first hike the other day. I took him up Big Cottonwood canyon and we walked around silver lake. As you can see I was in a tank top and shorts and Connelly didn't have a jacket or anything. We started our little walk, only a mile, and it started to rain, then snow/hail. It was Crazy. Connelly didn't mind though. He had a great time.
