Christmas 2008

Well, we had a great Christmas. Dallynn obviously got a bike. A much needed bike. His old one was too old and didn't have brakes. That is a must have so we bought this Tony Hawk bike for him with gears. Where ever he goes around here he has to go up hills so the gear thing was a must have besides brakes. This was Connelly's first christmas. He didn't understand but it was fun. He got some fun toys. He is practicing walking everywhere. I think he will be walking soon. Holly and I took the kids to Dimple Dell yesterday to swim and Connelly actually took his first steps in the pool. They were real. Holly is my witness. I don't know if the water made him feel lighter and more confident but he did it at least for that moment. He hasn't done it since. Nate and I have decided to make new years resolutions this year and we are going to try to stick to them. We will officially announce them after we ponder them and write them down tonight. Tonight is

Connelly's first Christmas...aka Santa

I've still got it!!

You know when you watch those movies, and there is always that person who is still living in the past. Maybe they were a high school jock, or a cheerleader and they are still living in the time zone. They never put down the pom pom's or the football and they are living in the past? Well, that is me. I realized that this morning when I threw away my baby's poopy diaper. We have a garbage in our garage and I was too lazy to walk a few steps and so I decided to try and make a "basket." I promise you, I did make the basket. But what I did after is what I'm all hung up over today. After I made it, I felt good inside and out loud said to Connelly, "your mommy still has it." as I made a fist with my right hand and pulled it towards me with celebration. (I think I would have given myself "5" if I could do that.) What? Yes I am living in the past, I'm thinking I still have my basketball skills because I made a basket into the garbage can with a poop

A day to remember

Today the snow really came down. Nate told me I better shovel the snow before he got home. (I guess he thought it is my turn to shovel.) So I thought, this will be fun for Connelly to get his first taste of the snow. He didn't like it at all when I sat him down in the actual snow, but he did okay if I was holding him or if I put him in the stroller. I put him in the stroller and did our drive way. Then I decided to be an over achiever for once in my life and did the next two neighbor's drive ways too. Connelly and I had a blast. He loved watching me work and sing Christmas songs to him. Daxton and Connor, my two nephews, came out to help me shovel snow too. Daxton loved my snow shovel and asked "Where did you get it?" in a way that only Daxton can say. Kind of in a snide way. I told him Walmart and he could get one too. He actually really did help once he had a good snow shovel. The next two things are the stories that I really want to remember. Once I came in from sh

Finals

Tonight at 8 pm is my final in Biology. It has been one of the hardest classes I've taken, next to Statistics. I currently have a 102%, due to a lot of extra credit. I just lucked out with this teacher. Who offers extra credit these days? She not only offered some, but up to 100 points extra. Man that is is a whole test, or 10% of a grade. I'm a little worried about the final because it is 20% of my grade, so I could bomb it and loose my A!!! THat is scarey. I've been studying all day and I'm taking a break. I have 2 1/2 more hours and I don't know if my brain can take it anymore. If I don't know it by now, I didn't study the stuff and I won't at this point. So on to blogging..... Connelly is EVERYWHERE. He even crawled into the dishwasher today when I was unloading it. THe little turkey. He is getting over his ear infection and just really happy today. That is a relief, because he was such a bear while he was sick. It snowed today, and

Where are you Christmas

So I was watching ksl and they mentioned there was a play put on by the odgen institute of religion called, "Where are you christmas?" I did a little research and these are the details.... December 5 and 6 at 7:30 pm Family $15 Adults $5 Then Dec 6th has also a matinee at 2:30 pm for $10/family and $5 adult. It is at the Weber State University Browning Center, Austad Auditorium. You can call the institute for details at 801-621-1800 I don't know if you can buy tickets over the phone or what. I love the song "where are you christmas?" and I guess that the man that made the play is an Bishop and he thought about how people loose the true meaning of christmas. The 250 people that participate are institute students. They sing, dance, and preform. I think it will be great. I really want to go. Does anyone else? Let me know and we can carpool, meet up, or what not. We can go as a "Family." call me or e-mail at kandyclever@yahoo.com

Newport

So I'm going to Newport. You might be thinking, "California?" or you might be thinking "Oregon?" The answer is neither. It is Newport, Rhode Island..... I know, I know. I didn't know there was a Newport, RI either. And then you ask, "Why Rhode Island?" It was a great deal, because I'm going in Febuary. Yes, it will be cold, but I'm not scared off by a little cold weather. I NEED A TRIP. Come snow, rain, hail, or whatever, I'm going on this trip!!! I was suppose to go on a trip last January before Connelly came, and I didn't get out of the SLC airport. So I have tickets this time and I'm off. I have been looking at the whole state, which is only 1000 square feet total and I think it is going to be great. We are only a few hours from New York and so we will hit that one day, and then about 35 miles from Boston and Nate really wants to go there. We are taking my Mom and Connelly. It is going to be something fun to l
