First lake trip of 2009

Connelly, Russell, Reuben, and I went to Bear Lake last weekend and went water skiing in the freezing cold Bear Lake waters. It was fun and the sun was out, yet that water still is cold. Thus, I wore a wet suit. My bro, Russ, pushed me in and it was quite shocking right off the bat. We stopped in Logan on the way there and back and visited the twins. Connelly loved them and held them and kissed them. He will be a good brother one day.

Bad decision

So I wax. Do you? What do you wax? Well, I wax my body, well my eyebrows and girly mustache, not those other body parts they do in "Brazil." Any who..... Today was the day. I hadn't waxed in FOREVER and so I decided I'd take a stab at it. I have been doing my own waxing since I got married, I use to live with this wonderful girl, Jamie, and she was a professional, but I got it free. The friendly roommate discount. She did great. Sun Valley, Idaho 2021

We stayed at a cute log cabin by the path that goes from Sun Valley to Hailey. There was a huge open field where we were able to throw the ball and play with the dogs in the snow. We ate lunches out and cooked the other meals in the cabin.  Connelly got  the French dip, Nate got the Pastrami, Kate got Macaroni salad and I got the Acai bowl! This was our fourth year going to SunValley.  We love to shop at the  thrift store, Gold Mine.  We found a lamp, board games, Sorrel snow boots for kate, beanies, and Corral plates for the kitchen!! GOLD MINE! Connelly went to Bald Mountain for the first time.  He was able to ski just as fast if not as fast as me.  The ski runs there are so long.  I never took the kids because they are  so long and I thought they wouldn't last two runs.  Connelly and I did 5 runs!!  It was so fun.  Then we got the souvenir pins for Dolla...

I've still got it!!

You know when you watch those movies, and there is always that person who is still living in the past. Maybe they were a high school jock, or a cheerleader and they are still living in the time zone. They never put down the pom pom's or the football and they are living in the past? Well, that is me. I realized that this morning when I threw away my baby's poopy diaper. We have a garbage in our garage and I was too lazy to walk a few steps and so I decided to try and make a "basket." I promise you, I did make the basket. But what I did after is what I'm all hung up over today. After I made it, I felt good inside and out loud said to Connelly, "your mommy still has it." as I made a fist with my right hand and pulled it towards me with celebration. (I think I would have given myself "5" if I could do that.) What? Yes I am living in the past, I'm thinking I still have my basketball skills because I made a basket into the garbage can with a poop...
