Grandma Kristi




My mom, Kristi, came to visit and help with Connelly. It has been heaven sent. She has helped me so much. Two nights in a row she helped with the baby by taking him all night and doing the feedings. It was so nice to actually sleep a full 7ish hours. She also has helped clean, cook, babysit while I worked on my homework. I have a test this Monday so she is going to tend him Sunday night for me too. It will be nice to be able to study and rest before the test. If you don't know, I'll tell you.... I hate this Statistics class. I just did 2 hours of homework and didn't get all 7 questions done. They are the longest and hardest equations. I can't wait until this class is over. I complain more than I work on my homework probably but I HATE IT.


Nate and I are going on our first date postpartum today too. We are going to go to a movie and dinner while Grandma Krisit tends baby Connelly. I'm hoping to get outside today too and get in some good sunshine. I am still pretty sore. I am so surprised how bad of a recovery I'm having. I really expected to be out and doing walking/running within a few weeks. Here it is three weeks and I still hurt. I am bummed about that.


I had a dream the other night that I woke up and Connelly was 20 pounds and so big and grown up. He is starting to smile more and look more directly at you. It is fun.

I need to come see Connelly again! He's so cute. They grow up so fast. Glad you were able to get outside and get a few more things done! How was your date???

Kandy he is gorgeous! Congrats, what a cute little mom you are. And triathalons? Come on, I can barely run a 10k! Love your blog, can't wait to keep in touch!

Found a home

Bell has found a new home. After I put her up for FREE on ksl.com, I got a ton of calls. The first little old lady that came to look at her snatched her right up. I was really surprised because Bell snapped at her right off, but I guess things are going well now. The lady called me later in the day, and said, "thank you, thank you. Bell is the dog I've waited for my whole life." She said that Bell just followed her around all day and the neighborhood kids love her. I'm so relieved.

Just hang'n with my BOY

Connelly has been so fun now that he is potty trained. Yes you heart me, HE IS POTTY TRAINED. Not one accident in two weeks. He will even tell me when he has to go when he is busy playing. I know this is abnormal and I'm very fortunate. I ran upon these picks from this summer and just thought how cute they were. We went to Cherry Hill resort in Kaysville this summer and had a lot of fun.

Sun Valley, Idaho 2021

We stayed at a cute log cabin by the path that goes from Sun Valley to Hailey. There was a huge open field where we were able to throw the ball and play with the dogs in the snow. We ate lunches out and cooked the other meals in the cabin.  Connelly got  the French dip, Nate got the Pastrami, Kate got Macaroni salad and I got the Acai bowl! This was our fourth year going to SunValley.  We love to shop at the  thrift store, Gold Mine.  We found a lamp, board games, Sorrel snow boots for kate, beanies, and Corral plates for the kitchen!! GOLD MINE! Connelly went to Bald Mountain for the first time.  He was able to ski just as fast if not as fast as me.  The ski runs there are so long.  I never took the kids because they are  so long and I thought they wouldn't last two runs.  Connelly and I did 5 runs!!  It was so fun.  Then we got the souvenir pins for Dolla...
