Sun Valley, Idaho 2021

We stayed at a cute log cabin by the path that goes from Sun Valley to Hailey. There was a huge open field where we were able to throw the ball and play with the dogs in the snow. We ate lunches out and cooked the other meals in the cabin.  Connelly got  the French dip, Nate got the Pastrami, Kate got Macaroni salad and I got the Acai bowl! This was our fourth year going to SunValley.  We love to shop at the  thrift store, Gold Mine.  We found a lamp, board games, Sorrel snow boots for kate, beanies, and Corral plates for the kitchen!! GOLD MINE! Connelly went to Bald Mountain for the first time.  He was able to ski just as fast if not as fast as me.  The ski runs there are so long.  I never took the kids because they are  so long and I thought they wouldn't last two runs.  Connelly and I did 5 runs!!  It was so fun.  Then we got the souvenir pins for Dolla...

Connelly 3 years old

I haven't blogged or done a cute updated pix of Connelly since his March birthday when he turned three. He is so fun. I have no energy because I'm pregnant but he has a ton of it. He loves to ride his bike and play with his friends from sun up to sun down. He believes he is pregnant too and he has a "baby Kate" in his belly like I do. We are looking forward to Oct. 13th as much as ever in this horrid heat. I hate being pregnant in the summer. I love summer, I love being in a bathing suit, and this summer isn't what I love because I don't look good in a bathing suit and I hate the heat.

2020 Update on kids and life

This year the kids did home school from March 2020 until the end of the school year. It was crazy. I would have never known the words Pandemic or Social distancing until 2020. We ended up playing games every night for about 4 hours at the beginning of the pandemic. We made it through the school year. Then we started school in the fall with in person class and we have been so lucky to get through to Christmas break with no breaks from school and we even went five days aweek. Connelly is in 7th grade this fall. He is doing good with all A's so far. He thought he had a B in one class the first term and miracle of all miracles somehow it turned to an A- last minute. He was promised a phone if he gets straight A's for the next two years, 7th and 8th grade. He has worked really had on keeping an eye on his grades. He really is a good kid. I love him so much. He loves to Ski, Ninja, and ride my new mountain bike. I will need to get him a mountain bike next year. ...
